What is the process for dental implants?

Step One

At your free initial consultation, we will discuss what you would like to change about your smile.

We listen carefully to your concerns, explain possible solutions, and answer any questions so you feel informed and confident moving forward.

Step Two

We carry out a thorough examination of your teeth and overall dental health.

This includes assessing missing teeth, checking remaining teeth, and taking X-rays.

We then discuss suitable treatment options and outline a personalised plan tailored to you.

Step Three

On the day of treatment, you will visit our clinic and receive a local anaesthetic to ensure comfort.

A small opening is made in the gum and jawbone, allowing the titanium dental implant to be carefully placed.

Step Four

Once the implant is secure, an abutment is fitted.

This small connector sits on top of the implant and is used to attach your new replacement teeth, forming a strong and stable foundation for your future smile.

Step Five

Your replacement teeth are attached to the abutment.

In most cases, a temporary set is fitted while your permanent teeth are custom made. You can leave the surgery smiling, knowing your final restoration will follow soon.

Types of Dental Implants

Single Missing Tooth

Individual implants are used to replace single missing teeth, and options such as our new mini and midi implants are a good choice for those with otherwise healthy mouths.

Multiple Missing Teeth

Depending on the number of missing teeth, you may wish to opt for multiple single implants or, if your ‘gaps’ are close together, a dental implant bridge might prove a more comfortable and affordable solution.

Full Set of Teeth

There are several options for cases in which a full arch is missing. Dental implant bridges can work well, and for this, we would usually recommend the excellent All-on-4 technique.

The benefits Of Having Implants

Replaces gaps in your mouth
Increases your self-confidence
Natural looking new teeth
No need for dentures or false teeth
You can eat all of your favourite foods
Your face shape remains the same

Had 3 appointments with Dr Roma Devnani. She did any awesome job of cleaning my very stained teeth, then 2 fillings which she handled very well and then finally whitening. At no point did she over sell treatments which was welcome, she was very consultative, fair and professional. She had a very calming manner which was great as no one likes a visit to the dentist especially me! Will be looking to take both my children to her n future.Best dentist experience I have had.

Dr Radha has been incredible throughout my treatment! She’s so welcoming, friendly and reassuring, making you feel comfortable and at ease from the very first appointment. Her skill, knowledge and attention to detail are amazing, and I’ve felt in such good hands throughout the whole process.I’ve recently completed my Invisalign and composite bonding treatment, and I couldn’t recommend Smile Rooms and Dr Radha highly enough to anyone considering either treatment. I’m so glad I chose them!

Such a wonderful experience every single visit - the staff here could not be more warm and welcoming, they make such an effort to remember every single client, it makes a such a huge difference, particularly for someone like me, who was never particularly fond of the dentist - it makes every visit so much more pleasant. Dr Radha is an absolute delight, she’s brilliant at her job, but also much like the receptionists, she is so welcoming and has the most infectious personality! I cannot recommend Smile Rooms more, for any and all services.

Amazing experience with Dr Mo and ShannonDr Mo doesn’t push you for any treatment and gives an honest opinion of what you require. I knew after our first meeting I would go ahead as I felt so at ease. I had a 3 hour composite bonding session where I had shaping and 6 composites as well as removal of 3 old composites.Couldn’t be happier with the result. Thank you!

Emily Lewry - D.

I had to book an emergency appointment as the wire on my brace was too long and causing some discomfort. I was really pleased to be offered an appointment on the very same day.Ajay was fantastic, friendly, efficient and professional. Although it was a relatively quick fix, he made the whole experience quick and easy. Thanks, Ajay!

I chose Reading Smiles for my Invisalign treatment because:Dr Sami is professional, reassuring and attentive. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and has answered all my questions with honesty.Harriet, the treatment coordinator, has been incredible. Her frequent touch points are always friendly and helpful. she has been supportive and engaging from the start. The care and professionalism at Reading Smiles is exceptional!

1791197423

I’ve just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr Aidan to fix an open bite and it’s been a really great experience overall. Straightforward and easy to manage. You do have to stay on top of brushing and care, but I’d still choose Invisalign over braces any day. Being able to take them out briefly and properly clean all your teeth is such a big plus. I’m really happy with the prompt results and the support throughout.Updating my review for another clinician since I can only post once: Lauren is the best hygienist I've had at Smile Rooms since I became a patient in 2023. Couldn't recommend her enough 🫶 She's amazing with sensitive teeth and always leaves them looking spotless. Special thanks to the nurse Stephanie too!

After giving 3 stars for the cleaning of my teeth, today I was having a wisdom tooth removal and I just need it to come back to this review to make it 5 because doctor Johana Zibova was exeding my expectations on how nice, professional, patient and being 100% shore that i won't feel the pain or uncomfortable with the procedure.Again, like I've said on my previous review, very clean, very professional all stuff and least but not last, they have in my opinion very very good prices.Just to get an ideea, what it costed me on them 270£, on another clinic they request 675£.I will let you judge if this clinic have good prices or not.Again, thank you very much guys but especially doctor Johana Zibova.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received at Smile Rooms Windsor. I came to see Dr Albert after a bike accident had badly damaged and broken my front teeth, and the whole experience was exceptional from start to finish.Dr Albert was incredibly kind, reassuring and supportive throughout the process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely at ease. The composite bonding he has done is absolutely amazing — my teeth look so natural that you would never know they had been damaged. The difference it has made to me is huge. After the accident I had lost a lot of confidence in my smile, and Dr Albert has genuinely given me both my smile and my confidence back.I’m incredibly grateful to Dr Albert and the whole team at Smile Rooms Windsor for their care, professionalism and kindness. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much!

I recently had a consultation at Smile Rooms in CMK regarding cosmetic treatment/composite bonding in relation to improving the appearance of my teeth. I'm not a serial poster, but If the service received is good, then I will acknowledge it.Pritesh, the dental technician who I had my consultation with, took time to explain the best options for me moving forward and the appointment didn't seem rushed.I would also like to give a special mention to Tia on reception for the patience, time and polite service she provided to me.I can highly recommend Smile Rooms based on my above comments.

1788523749

Highly recommend this dental practice! After putting off going to the dentist for over 18 years following a traumatic experience, it was only a matter of time before I had to sit in that chair again! Eventually, it got to the point where eating had become uncomfortable, and despite my fear, I knew I had to do something.I was taken care of by Ajay, who helped me every step of the way, both with my anxiety and throughout the treatment. He was incredibly patient, reassuring and professional, which made the whole experience so much easier than I expected.Although the treatment is quite pricey, they do offer finance options, and in my opinion, the outstanding care and quality of the work made it worthwhile. I will happily be returning for my future treatment. So, to anyone who is scared or anxious about going to the dentist — don't put it off! I spent 18 years avoiding it, and honestly, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. 😁Thank you to Ajay and the team!

Dr Aareez Khan is the best dentist I have ever been to! And I have been to 5 different dentists up and down the country over the course of my life!I had to have a few fillings for the first time in my life and I didn’t even notice him injecting me and I usually faint with any needle. I didn’t even have to ask him to not show me he just seemed to work in a magical way and got on with it.Furthermore, he completed a thorough job making sure my teeth are all happy and ready to start their Invisalign journey with him. I cannot wait for my aligners to arrive and to get started!!Honestly, if you’re a nervous/neurodivergent patient he is extremely accommodating and friendly and warm. After a negative experience he has restored my faith in dentists and now I will never want to change my dentist ever again!!The practice itself is very well presented, with calming decor.Every single receptionist I have dealt with has been very warm and friendly! Shout out to Ibraheem and Elizabeth via email and a phone call!

A big thank you to all the staff at Smile Rooms Wokingham - to echo the other reviews they have a brilliant team and it really makes a big difference. Dr Sanj (& Abbie) did an incredible job and have transformed my smile in just 2 visits. I could not rate him higher both as a dentist and as a person. It was a long commute for me - they were flexible with appointments and were able to swap some in person visits to telephone, sending my trays and whitening through the post which was great. The whole process was so positive, it still has not really sunk in

For years I had put off having a smile makeover as I was worried about being judged for the state of my teeth. I decided to go for a free consultation at Smile Wokingham and from the moment I stepped through the door, it’s been such an amazing experience. Dr Sanj is a genius and the best at what he does but alongside that, he is such a nice guy that you feel like you are talking to a friend. The idea I had was to get a smile makeover and to do it as quickly as possible. Dr Sanj advised against that I am so happy I followed his advice and trusted the whole process. My teeth now look better for it.Catherine was a delight to deal with, I have a very busy schedule with work and family and she was always very accommodating when organising appointments. Several times I had to cancel or rearrange an appointment and it was never an issue. The girls on reception are also so lovely, numerous times I would be late for an appointment and they would always be understanding.Overall my experience at Smile Rooms Wokingham was 10/10, could not fault it at all.Michael

5/5 ⭐️From consultation to treatment, the whole team at Smile Room was incredibly friendly and professional. They explained everything step by step which made the process really reassuring, especially since it was my very first appointment at the clinic.During my whitening session, I felt completely comfortable and relaxed, I almost fell asleep in the chair! I can already see a noticeable difference and I’m excited to continue with my at home care to improve results even more.I’ve already booked a follow up review and I’m really happy with the results so far. The whole experience was smooth, comfortable, and stress free. I’m very happy with my teeth and would highly recommend Smile Rooms!

Started my Invisalign journey back in June 2025 and finally finished in February 2026. I’d previously had a consultation with another place who didn’t fill me with much confidence. I then found Smile Rooms and everyone who works there are so lovely, friendly, welcoming and put my mind at ease completely. I am so pleased with the results and a big thank you to Dr Sanj who helped me to achieve the exact end result I was after. I was also so impressed with his skills when it comes to composite bonding and changing the shape of a couple of teeth I’d been very conscious about for a long time.I would have no problem in recommending Smile Rooms to anyone!

I’ve always had an amazing experience every time I come to smile rooms wokingham. When you walk through the door you’re always greeted with a smile. The team at smile rooms have been so lovely and very welcoming and always worked around my work schedule.I had Invisalign and composite bonding done at smile rooms and before I decided anything Catherine went through all treatment plans with me to help me with my decision, any questions I had she was always there, she always made sure I was comfortable and how I was getting on during my Invisalign journey. Catherine is so lovely and anyone is lucky to have her as a treatment care coordinator thank you so much Catherine for everything.I’ve completed my Invisalign journey which took 8 months and had the pleasure of having Dr Sonam throughout my journey and I can’t recommend Dr Sonam enough. From my checkups, consultations and the whole Invisalign process he was amazing. He is very professional and goes through every step with you, he made me feel so comfortable and any worries I had or any questions he reassured me and made me feel at ease even during times I was nervous.I had composite bonding done on my front top 4 teeth after my Invisalign which was also done by Dr Sonam and I absolutely love the results. I wanted my edges to be smooth and crisp but I still wanted my teeth to look as natural as possible and that’s exactly what Dr Sonam delivered. I’ve had so many compliments already and I’m so happy with the results my confidence has finally come back and I will never stop smiling !A big thank you to Dr Sonam for getting me here and whoever has Dr Sonam with any treatment I can promise you you’re in safe hands.

My experience in Smile Rooms Kingston with Dr. Nigel has been nothing short of wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and I felt very comfortable from the very first day. When it comes to the dental procedures, they were great as well. Dr Nigel takes care in the full sense of the word. The fillings are done with complete focus and attention. The doctor takes care and makes sure you don't feel any pain, and is great for giving advice on dental care and how to proceed. This is the only dentist I've been to where I'm excited to come back in the future.Wonderful experience where I came out with a beautifully fixed smile.

First of all, Elizabeth is the sweetest receptionist I’ve ever met. Second of all, Dr Nigel is the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. As someone with anxiety, and in particular health anxiety, he really made the whole situation so much more comfortable - consistently being attentive to my needs throughout the treatment and ensuring he checked up on me; I felt so well looked after. He also explains everything in great detail, so that I could be aware of all the dental theory and understand what was being done - it felt like a lesson - which just shows how he truly cares about his patients. In addition, he is so friendly, funny and kind! I recommend this dentist so much. 🙂

I received Invisalign teeth straightening treatment at Smile Rooms Kingston and would highly recommend this dental practice. Dr Nigel provided an excellent dental service, adapting to my needs and producing fantastic results despite my teeth being a bit stubborn! All other staff, in particular Elizabeth, were so welcoming and friendly, and supported me throughout the treatment. I'm very happy with my straight teeth, thank you Smile Rooms 🙂

I had a couple of treatments done recently with Dr. Patel, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I received. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and attention to detail. Dr. Patel took the time to explain each step of the process, made sure I was comfortable, and carried out the treatments with great skill and care. The entire team was welcoming and friendly, which really helped put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone looking for a dentist who truly cares about their patients’ well-being!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nigel and Liz! From the very first appointment, they made me feel genuinely welcome, cared for, and at ease. Dr. Nigel is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but he also has a calm, reassuring approach that immediately builds trust. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is explained and tailored to your needs.Liz at reception is an absolute ray of sunshine! Her warmth, kindness, and positive energy are contagious — she even tries to keep travel-size toothpaste stocked just for me, which always makes me smile! 😃 She makes every visit feel like catching up with a good friend. It’s rare to find such a lovely and supportive environment in a clinic, and I always look forward to my visits thanks to them both.Thank you for all that you do — you’re a brilliant team! I love my smile and teeth ❤

Thank you so much to Dr Usama Sardar & all the team for fitting my son in for an emergency appointment when he accidentally broke one of his front teeth on a Saturday afternoon (21 June 2025). You were all fantastic with him and we were delighted you were able to fix his tooth so quickly and calmly.

What you didn't know is that my child is actually ADHD and autistic. She usually struggles with any situation like this, but you guys were so kind and caring to her, I couldn't believe how relaxed she was.The confidence you have given her is amazing. I knew she would be happier, but watching her playing and laughing with her mouth wide open really pulls my heart strings.Honestly, the whole team could not have made the experience any better and I thank you all so much.

I’ve loved my experience with Smile Rooms Kingston. I had a lot of work to get done and it was daunting but they have helped me with every step. I can’t thank Dr Nigel enough for his patience with me and my fear of needles. He and his team are so kind and they always had time to answer my questions and made sure I could make informed decisions. I truly appreciate the calm and understanding environment you have created.
